Overview
In this Deal Advisory Tax role, you will support advisory services across UK and international tax issues within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll work with Partners and Directors on complex transactions, help win new opportunities, and coach colleagues while maintaining strong client relationships. You will apply up-to-date tax knowledge to quantify issues, model tax considerations, and influence deal documents. This is a cross-border, multi-team role that shapes value throughout the investment cycle.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partners/Directors on complex transactions to deliver tax advisory services
- Support business development through proposals and pitches
- Build and maintain client relationships and act as a main contact for clients and advisors
- Coach and develop colleagues; collaborate with peers and learn continuously
- Prepare and oversee technical advice on UK and international tax issues
- Analyze tax-related documents/data; articulate commercial impact to clients
- Coordinate with UK and overseas tax specialists and review inputs critically
- Demonstrate up-to-date tax knowledge on UK and OECD developments
- Understand financial models from a tax perspective
- Contribute to Deal Advisory Tax thought leadership
- Input on cross-border, multi-stream advisory work
Key requirements
- Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent
- Ambitious, enthusiastic; keen interest in transactions
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge; awareness of other tax and accounting matters
- Strong analytical skills; commercial problem-solving approach
- Excellent project management; team collaboration and initiative
- Proactive in progressing business opportunities for the benefit of KPMG and clients
