Overview

In this role you will design, build, and maintain the automation platform for large-scale test execution across Linux, Windows, and hardware emulation. You enable validation, design, and tooling teams by delivering CI, execution engine, scheduling, and reporting at scale. You won’t write tests; you’ll build robust infrastructure used daily to qualify next-generation products across AMD’s markets. You’ll collaborate with cross-site teams to improve productivity and reliability, with a meaningful impact on product qualification and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI and regression environments for large-scale test suites across Linux and Windows
  • Develop a scalable execution engine to optimize machine and storage resource usage
  • Design and maintain databases for assets, releases, and results
  • Integrate hardware emulation platforms as execution targets within the automation workflow
  • Improve the validation automation ecosystem and infrastructure
  • Coordinate with tools teams to converge on common CI/regression methodologies
  • Collaborate with Architects and the Design & Verification team to ensure high-quality releases and clear results presentation

Key requirements

  • Strong software engineering experience building automation, tooling, or infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
  • Experience developing software across Linux and Windows
  • Experience designing/operating regression/CI systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and schedulers (LSF or Slurm)
  • Experience designing databases and services to manage assets, releases, and results, and building dashboards
  • Experience with QEMU or similar emulation/virtualization platforms
  • Comfort operating compute and storage at scale; focus on throughput and reliability
  • Working knowledge of Git, build systems, and DevOps/release-engineering practices
  • Familiarity with hardware emulation platforms (e.g., Synopsys ZeBu, Cadence Palladium, Siemens Veloce) is a plus
