In this role, you will lead senior-level family law work within a boutique Edinburgh firm. You will manage your own caseload while helping to grow an expanding family law department, collaborating with partners and a small team. You’ll engage directly with clients, shaping strategy and delivering practical, client-focused resolutions. Responsibilities

• Manage own family law caseload with minimal supervision
• Develop and expand the family law department
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent communication
• Collaborate with partners and support staff to coordinate cases
• Lead or contribute to significant family law matters
• Support business development and growth initiatives
• Contribute to case strategy and process improvements
• Assist in mentoring junior team members

Key requirements

• Circa 10 years PQE in family law
• Strong background in family law
• Excellent communication skills; client-facing
• Ideally STEP qualified (funding possible)
• Willingness to contribute to department growth
• Edinburgh-based or able to relocate
