Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Building Services team, you design, coordinate and deliver electrical building services across a diverse portfolio. You will work closely with other disciplines in a multidisciplinary setting to produce efficient, sustainable electrical designs from concept to completion. You will drive design quality, coordination and compliance within a BIM-enabled environment, contributing to low-carbon strategies and client-facing collaboration. Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of electrical building services systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data)
• Produce design calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, public health, structural and architectural teams
• Support project delivery across all stages from concept to construction
• Ensure compliance with standards including BS 7671
• Work within BIM environment collaborating with technicians using Autodesk Revit
• Attend client and design team meetings representing electrical discipline
• Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon design strategies
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Assist in project planning, resource management and delivery to programme and budget

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Proven experience in electrical design within a Building Services (MEP) consultancy
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and standards (BS 7671)
• Experience working across multiple project stages
• Ability to manage and deliver projects independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
