Overview
In this role you will support a prominent consultancy on a large Central London project for a 2-year contract. You will supervise M&E installation work, witness testing, and commissioning, and ensure quality through reporting and documentation reviews. Your feedback to design teams helps uphold the firm’s high installation standards and project outcomes. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to maintain project quality and momentum. This is a hands-on, front-line role that combines technical oversight with clear communication and problem-solving on site.
Responsibilities
- Inspect engineering service installations and assess completeness and quality
- Witness and document testing and commissioning activities
- Review and report on record documentation and compliance
- Provide feedback to design teams to uphold installation standards
- Engage with clients/architects and other stakeholders on-site
- Support contract management activities and site quality control
Key requirements
- Experience in a Resident Engineer role for M&E services
- Strong understanding of M&E design and installation
- Contract management and associated administration
- Testing/commissioning of building services installations
- Construction site quality control
