Overview

In this role you will deliver client-facing advisory services for a growing battery storage portfolio within RES’s Asset Management team. You will coordinate end-to-end technical, commercial, and project management activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet client needs. The position supports growth, innovation, and cross-border service delivery across Europe, starting from the UK&I focus. You will shape advisory solutions that help clients optimise assets and reduce costs, while mentoring colleagues and staying aligned with regulatory changes and market developments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end advisory projects for clients (due diligence, owners engineering, technical missions)
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations for clients and internal teams
  • Manage contracts, time, and cost to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Support development of proposals to win new work and grow the portfolio
  • Monitor project financial performance and report on outcomes
  • Mentor less experienced team members and share knowledge
  • Identify relevant tech developments or regulatory changes impacting the business
  • Coordinate with Asset Managers, Business Development, Operations Support, and Finance
  • Engage with clients through meetings and site visits, including international travel
  • Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards
  • Maintain and expand client networks within the renewables industry

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of renewable energy infrastructure and battery energy storage systems
  • Commercial and contractual awareness in project delivery
  • Experience in owners engineering, due diligence, and technical advisory roles
  • Client-facing consultancy experience in the renewables sector
  • Budgeting and cost control for projects
  • Strong report writing and English communication skills
  • Project management capability and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel and work across UK&I and Europe
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365
  • Valid driving licence for UK use
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and sub-contractors
