As Associate Director/Project Director in our Estimating team, you lead the production of accurate estimates and cost plans for defence projects. You influence estimating best practices and drive departmental objectives, while engaging with clients and supporting bids. You’ll mentor staff, identify cross-selling opportunities, and help shape major programmes. This role offers impact across UK defence projects within a leading infrastructure consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead or manage production of accurate estimates and cost plans for projects/programmes
• Promote estimating best practices within the firm
• Support departmental objectives and stay current in technical expertise
• Interface with clients and other consultants across project stages
• Lead or support bids for new work and identify cross-selling opportunities
• Provide direction to staff and act as a role model
• Staff management where appropriate and knowledge management

Key requirements

• Proven estimating leadership experience
• Defence sector estimating experience
• Qualified in Estimating or Quantity Surveying
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Experience in leading and managing teams
