Overview
In this role you will support clients in developing and implementing robust controls for projects, programmes and portfolios. You will challenge delivery teams, analyse performance data, and present findings to stakeholders to inform decisions. You’ll oversee planning, scheduling, change, risk and cost controls, and help implement reporting tools such as Power BI. You will drive continuous improvement in portfolio and programme management and contribute to governance and assurance activities. This role offers the chance to work across major health and life sciences projects within a global engineering and professional services firm.

Responsibilities
- Drive transparency and visibility of progress across the project/programme lifecycle
- Analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for investigation
- Present performance data to non-technical stakeholders to support decision-making
- Oversee planning & scheduling, change control, risk and cost control
- Lead setup and development of internal and external progress reporting processes and tools (Power BI where required)
- Develop, implement and manage control processes and tools (change control, reporting, risk, schedule)
- Support continuous improvement of internal processes related to portfolio, programme and project management
- Support project/programme governance and assurance processes
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent (preferably)
- Experience in programme and project controls within major construction/infrastructure programmes
- Engaging with and translating programme data for diverse stakeholders
- Understanding of public sector programme and project delivery environments
- Experience in consultancy and developing PMO services
- Experience presenting programme performance data using digital tools including Power BI
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong attention to detail with analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Recognised Programme Management or Project Management qualification (e.g., Risk management, IRM, MoR, APM PMQ) or related
- Security clearance eligibility
