Trading Operations Analyst

Overview

As Trading Operations Analyst, you will support the London trading desk on OTC settlements, lifecycle events, and execution workflows within a fast-paced, tech-driven quant environment. You’ll collaborate with traders to streamline operations across equities, futures, options, fixed income, and repo activities. The role combines hands-on settlements expertise with system-support and enhancement responsibilities to boost desk efficiency around the clock. You’ll work with smart teams that value rigor, learning, and impact in alpha generation.

Responsibilities

• Support OTC equity settlements with counterparties
• Assist traders to backfill and optimize the execution workflow
• Handle corporate actions and entitlements processing
• Support clearing for futures, options, fixed income, and repo
• Ensure accurate trade lifecycle processing internally and with counterparties
• Investigate and resolve trade and position breaks with clearing firms and prime brokers
• Master proprietary trade capture and inventory management to support desk activity
• Act as super-user for current systems, advising on tech, workflow, and process improvements for London operations

Key requirements

• At least 2 years’ professional Trading Operations or Settlements
• Strong European Equities OTC settlement experience
• Exposure to lifecycle across other products (Fixed Income, Futures, Options)
• VBA and ideally Python
