Managing Principal (Director) – Finance Transformation

Overview

In this role you drive large-scale finance transformation for Tier 1 institutions, guiding cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in finance and treasury. You work with CFOs and senior leaders to shape strategic initiatives, oversee regulatory and transformation programmes, and embed automation and cloud capabilities. You will lead business development and thought leadership to grow Capco’s Finance Transformation capability. This is a high-impact leadership position in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance transformation programmes across finance IT, operating model design, and process optimisation
• Shape strategic initiatives for CFOs and executives to improve controls, efficiency, and financial insight
• Oversee regulatory transformation programmes (Basel, IFRS, PRA) ensuring compliance and effectiveness
• Partner with technology and data teams to embed automation, cloud, and digital capabilities in finance
• Drive business growth through client development, leadership of delivery teams, and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Proven leadership delivering complex finance transformation within consulting or financial services
• Deep understanding of finance operating models, controls, accounting processes, and regulatory change
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in business development and client relationship management
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment
• Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
