Digital Project Controls – Senior/ Principal Consultant- Bristol & London

Overview

In this role you will drive transformation of client portfolios through Digital Controls by embedding P3M with a cloud platform. You will work with cross‑functional teams to design and implement operating models, setup, and optimization of project controls and performance functions across major infrastructure programmes. You will shape advisory services and deliver value through reports, workshops, and hands‑on platform deployment. Responsibilities

• Assess client environments to identify challenges and design fit‑for‑purpose Digital Controls solutions
• Lead development, implementation and optimization of project controls and performance strategies and operating models
• Deploy and tailor the Digital Controls platform to enable an optimized PMO and control operating model
• Apply and improve P3M methodologies, processes, tools and systems for client contexts
• Produce findings and recommendations reports across client engagements
• Deliver workshops in virtual and in‑person settings with client teams
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams on client sites and remotely
• Contribute to business generation activities including bids and proposals
• Support marketing campaigns and employee advocacy as appropriate
• Identify and progress opportunities for new work with senior management

Key requirements

• Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience
• Experience leading development of project management or project controls and configuring Digital Controls solutions
• Experience on capital projects/programmes across multiple controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, reporting) in infrastructure sectors
• Understanding of target operating models and organisational design for capital infrastructure delivery
• Experience with business transformations and change management
• Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments for capital delivery, PMO, or project controls
• Proficiency with office software (MS Office/Teams) and diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io)
• Analytical mindset with data manipulation and presentation skills (SQL, Power Query/Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
• Experience with specialist project controls software (see tools)
• Reports/presentation skills for stakeholders; ability to navigate complex client environments
• Experience or familiarity with modern system architecture and coding is advantageous
• APM, PMI or similar certification advantageous
