Senior Operations Support Engineer – Subsea

Overview

As an experienced Senior Operations Support Engineer, you will oversee workshop, logistics, stores, purchasing, and certification activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You will plan resources, manage inventory, and maintain equipment to meet customer requirements and keep operations ready. You’ll collaborate across locations to optimize processes and drive safety and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop, logistics, stores, purchasing and certification activities to meet operational demands
• Liaise with Operational Supervisors to ensure equipment and resources are available when required
• Support procurement activities and work with suppliers to achieve best value and service
• Manage inventory levels, stock control, stocktaking, and cycle counting
• Maintain and improve maintenance, stores and purchasing procedures
• Promote collaboration and resource sharing across locations and business units
• Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, certified and fit for purpose
• Lead incident reporting and investigations, implementing corrective actions
• Identify and mitigate operational, safety and environmental risks
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and procedures

Key requirements

• Engineering Qualification
• Computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD desirable)
• Previous supervisory experience within workshop, logistics, stores, supply chain, or operational support functions
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Experience managing inventory, procurement, and equipment maintenance processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
