Commercial Finance Manager

Overview

In this role you will act as a commercial finance partner to multiple business functions, delivering financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions. You’ll influence profitability and efficiency through robust analysis, forecasting, and performance evaluation in a fast-growth, PE-backed retail environment. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in planning and reporting. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape financial strategy in a dynamic business.

Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge
• Support strategic decision-making through analysis, modelling and performance review
• Deliver weekly and monthly trading analyses highlighting risks and drivers
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
• Evaluate commercial initiatives and business cases
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and sales performance
• Support senior leadership with ad-hoc analysis and presentations
• Drive improvements in reporting, planning and finance processes
• Collaborate across finance and wider business functions to support activities

Key requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• 1–2 years post-qualified experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or related role
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Commercially minded with interest in influencing business performance
• Proactive and adaptable across projects and business areas
• Experience in retail, consumer, FMCG or similar sector is advantageous
