Responsibilities
- Providing expert tax advice across income, corporate, inheritance, capital gains, estate planning, and group restructuring
- Preparing and reviewing tax returns and computations for individuals, owner-managed businesses, and corporate groups
- Supporting colleagues with tax queries and acting as a technical resource across the firm
- Providing proactive tax planning and advisory support to optimise clients’ tax positions
- Handling HMRC correspondence and resolving enquiries and disputes
- Monitoring tax legislation changes to keep processes and client affairs compliant
- Mentoring junior team members with technical and professional guidance
- Contributing to high-value advisory and restructuring projects
Key requirements
- CTA qualified (or qualified by substantial experience)
- Strong all-round tax knowledge gained in a practice environment
- Confident communicator with ability to build trusted client relationships
- Commercially minded, technically strong, and solutions focused
- Highly organised with attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and advise colleagues at all levels
