M365 Information Governance Lead – Senior Consultant

Overview

In this role you will drive information governance and data protection across M365 for PSD Scotland, partnering with regional and national teams to ensure compliant, secure delivery of Microsoft 365 services. You will translate technical concepts into practical guidance for stakeholders and support national documentation and risk mitigations. You will build relationships with data protection professionals across NHS Scotland organisations and lead or advise on NHSS M365 workstreams. Responsibilities

• Assess platform functionality to identify risks and mitigations
• Contribute to national documentation to support Health Boards under legal/regulatory requirements
• Translate complex technical information into clear guidance for stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with data protection professionals across NHS Scotland
• Provide practical solutions to information governance and data protection challenges within the M365 landscape
• Collaborate with local, regional and national M365 stakeholders to identify and implement good practice
• Provide guidance on legislative and policy obligations to stakeholders
• Advise on and lead NHSS M365 workstreams and activities
• Represent the NHSS M365 Team in regional and national forums
• Provide third-line support and advice on tools such as eDiscovery, sensitivity labeling, sharing settings

Key requirements

• Experienced Information Governance and Data Protection professional
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance requirements and risk management
• Experience in NHS Scotland, healthcare or public sector preferred
• Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders in a multidisciplinary tech environment
• Ability to translate complex information for different audiences
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills
• Sound judgement, integrity, attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
• Experience with Microsoft 365 tools is advantageous
