As Associate Director, you will lead Pick Everard’s London Construction Safety service, shaping regional strategy, delivery and growth. You will drive commercial performance, client relationships and team development within a prestigious, multidisciplinary practice backed by a global consultancy. You’ll manage risk, governance and technical assurance across projects while mentoring senior staff and expanding major frameworks. Responsibilities

  • Strategic, commercial and operational leadership of the regional CDM service, translating national objectives into regional delivery.
  • Ownership of regional order book and pipeline to drive commercial performance, monitoring utilisation and project performance.
  • Resource planning and workload management to ensure efficient delivery and team utilisation.
  • Developing and strengthening key client relationships, securing repeat business and growing major frameworks.
  • Senior escalation point for technical, commercial and project delivery matters.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, governance and technical assurance across outputs.
  • Mentor and develop Associates and Senior Consultants, driving succession planning and capability growth.
  • Deliver regional strategy aligned with national objectives, with accurate reporting.
  • Support business development, bids and opportunity identification for new work.
  • Champion continuous improvement and foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team culture.

Key requirements

  • Proven track record leading CDM or Construction Safety teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience meeting profitability, recovery and utilisation targets
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 and UK health and safety legislation
  • Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • CMIOSH status or actively working towards CFIOSH (preferred)
  • APS Certified Member or Fellow status (desirable)
  • Experience across national frameworks or multi-disciplinary delivery environments (desirable)
  • Industry profile with published articles, thought leadership or speaking engagements (desirable)
