Overview
In this role you will lead and deliver geo-environmental consulting across complex UK water-related infrastructure projects. You will integrate technical expertise with multidisciplinary teams to characterise materials, manage contaminated sites, and support resilient, nature-positive solutions. You’ll engage with design teams, clients, and partners to drive high-quality outcomes within the AMP8 water investment cycle. Responsibilities
- Provide technical management and specialist input across the project lifecycle
- Characterise materials and manage contaminated sites to support resilient infrastructure
- Support design teams and contracting partners with high-quality environmental advice
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and project delivery
- Contribute to business development and cross-sector strategy where applicable
Key requirements
- Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related Earth Sciences discipline
- Chartered membership (CGeol, CEnv, or CIWEM) or equivalent
- Experience in land quality evaluation and contaminated site management within a UK consulting environment
- Strong understanding of UK legislation, technical reporting, risk assessment, and remediation strategy
- Preferred certifications: SiLC, SQP, CL:AIRE DoW CoP QP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
