As Team Leader in production operations, you drive efficient output while guiding a frontline team. You’ll monitor standards, coach members, and manage attendance, performance, and safety to sustain quality. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, empower staff, and communicate effectively with management to implement better plant practices. Your role combines hands-on leadership with budget awareness and problem solving to deliver reliable, safe, and high-quality production. Responsibilities

• Supervise and deploy team members; monitor attendance and performance
• Ensure operating standards and safety/quality compliance; reduce dead time
• Coach and develop team members; promote continuous improvement culture
• Empower staff to take responsibility; facilitate communication and improvement initiatives
• Educate staff on business needs and decision-making; identify training needs
• Appraise performance and arrange development; manage day-to-day issues
• Operate within pre-set budgets; provide cover for other Team Leaders
• Recommend plant, equipment, and working practice improvements and communicate them to management
• Resolve day-to-day problems; carry out other reasonable duties

Key requirements

• Previous supervisory experience
• Educated to O’level/GCSE
• NVQ2 in Team Leader/Management (preferred)
• Microsoft Office competency
