Ambitious regional law firm in Exeter seeks a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0–5 PQE to join its Dispute Resolution team. You will handle contentious trust and probate matters, disputed wills, and commercial and civil disputes, working closely with partners. From day one you’ll take on files with mentorship to develop your litigation expertise and potentially build a niche practice. Responsibilities
- Handle contentious trusts and probate matters, including disputed wills and inheritance claims
- Manage commercial litigation and broader civil dispute resolution matters
- Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload
- Take on files with hands-on responsibility from day one
- Develop niche practice areas over time with support and mentorship
- Contribute to client care and efficient case management
- Engage in business development and networking opportunities when appropriate
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0–5 years PQE
- Practical, proactive approach to dispute resolution
- Strong communication and excellent client care skills
- Organised and confident in workload management
- Experience in contentious probate, trusts or inheritance disputes is advantageous but not essential
