Overview

In this EMC-focused role, you will design and validate electronic systems to meet EMC/RE standards and supportMBDA programs across the full engineering lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape robust test plans and bespoke solutions, enhancing the safety and performance of defence electronics. The role combines hands-on design with consultancy duties to ensure best EMC practice across projects. This is a mission-driven opportunity at a leading defence organisation with strong coupling to real-world applications.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on EMC-focused product design to meet requirements
  • Design and produce test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions
  • Support development of new test capabilities for the EMC facility
  • Lead and deliver significant electronic design work packages
  • Collaborate with project teams across the engineering lifecycle to ensure EMC compliance

Key requirements

  • Higher education or significant experience in Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or related fields
  • Significant experience in electronic design, development and delivery
  • Experience leading major electronic design work packages
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with SPICE tools (LTspice, ORCAD)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet defined deadlines and budgets
  • Autonomous and adaptable to changing company needs
