Overview
In this role you will lead indirect procurement activities within a global organisation undergoing a procurement transformation. You will manage sourcing projects, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee contracts to maximise value and compliance. You will align procurement strategies with business goals through broad stakeholder engagement and work closely with offshore teams to boost process efficiency. You will support the Procurement Director on transformation initiatives and deliver cost-saving solutions in a fast-paced environment. This contract role offers high-impact exposure to large-scale projects and potential extension.
Responsibilities
- Lead indirect procurement activities, manage sourcing projects, negotiate with suppliers, and oversee contract management to ensure value and compliance
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to align procurement strategies with business needs
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with offshore procurement support teams to enhance process efficiencies
- Support the Procurement Director by ensuring all activities adhere to policies and deliver cost-saving solutions
Key requirements
- A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement)
- Proven indirect procurement experience with strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiations
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience in complex environments such as Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or Manufacturing
