Overview
As a Trader in GTU London, you focus on equities execution to deliver best execution and optimize portfolio liquidity across EMEA. You partner with portfolio management to implement views on cash and derivatives, using diverse execution methods. You will synthesize market themes, share differentiated insights, and collaborate with ARU and TG to sharpen execution and trading technology. You build strong relationships with counterparties, contributing to GIC’s objective of efficient, informed trading and market intelligence. This role offers impact at a global scale within a values-driven, flexible, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities
- Partner with portfolio management to manage execution risks and implement investment views across EMEA equities (cash and derivatives)
- Execute trades using voice and electronic methods to achieve best execution
- Synthesize market themes and produce timely, differentiated intelligence for stakeholders
- Collaborate with ARU and Technology Group to extract insights from trading data and improve GTU’s technology (automation, checks, surveillance)
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and liquidity providers through strong interpersonal skills
Key requirements
- Relevant trading experience in EMEA equity markets across cash equities and derivatives
- Ability to program in Python
- Excellent oral and written communication with strong negotiation skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking with attention to detail
