Overview
Join a forward-thinking Community Care & Welfare team as a Solicitor or Legal Executive. You will manage a complex caseload of Community Care and Court of Protection matters, advising privately funded clients and representing them at assessments, tribunals and hearings. You’ll supervise junior fee earners, contribute to business development and help shape the department’s growth. Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of Community Care and Court of Protection matters with minimal supervision
- Advise privately funded clients on community care, welfare and public law issues
- Represent clients at assessments, appeals, tribunals and court hearings
- Draft and review legal documents and correspondence
- Supervise and mentor junior fee earners and support staff
- Assist with business development and marketing initiatives
- Contribute to growth and strategic development of the department
- Maintain high standards of client care and compliance
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Community Care/Public Law and/or Court of Protection matters
- Experience with Court of Protection Deputies, clients and professionals such as case managers is highly desirable
- Strong advocacy, communication and negotiation skills
