Overview

In this role you contribute to designing and delivering M&E concepts for construction projects, coordinating with the sales engineer and client, and guiding BIM-based processes using REVIT. You work closely with internal teams and external offices to ensure accurate, cost-conscious design and documentation. The position supports sustainable, integrated building services within a collaborative environment. This is an opportunity to shape projects from early concept to construction, leveraging the company’s BIM strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Create M&E concepts in coordination with the sales engineer and client
  • Prepare concept, preliminary and construction issue plans
  • Produce plans on GOLDBECK CAD system
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external planning offices
  • Manage and review external design offices for MEP design
  • Consult and coordinate with client-side partners, including meetings
  • Calculate small to medium-sized technical building systems
  • Design and calculate technical building systems with software
  • Determine quantities and prepare service lists and requirements
  • Prepare bills of quantities and assist in tendering subcontractors
  • Quality and cost comparison between calculated and executed works
  • Work using REVIT or related model- and database-oriented tools
  • Follow the GOLDBECK BIM strategy

Key requirements

  • Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards)
  • 3-4 years of design experience in building services
  • Experience with Revit, Microsoft suite, Relux/Dialux, Amtech
  • Knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations
  • HV/LV systems understanding
  • Knowledge of embedded generation and renewable technologies
  • Working knowledge of BREEAM / LEED
  • Professional Membership (CIBSE, IET) would be beneficial
