Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

In this role you transform complex data into actionable insights to inform decision-making across the Children and Young People Directorate. You will build dashboards and automate reporting using Power BI and SQL, supporting statutory and performance reporting. You will help services understand performance, identify trends and improve outcomes for residents. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver data-informed solutions that support the council’s mission to better outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex data into meaningful insights to inform decision-making
• Develop dashboards using Power BI and other analytical tools
• Automate reporting processes and support statutory and performance reporting
• Analyze performance, identify trends and support service improvement
• Communicate findings to senior leaders and operational teams

Key requirements

• Strong Power BI and data visualization skills
• Experience querying databases and manipulating large datasets
• Ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
