Overview

In this role you help advance defence capabilities in the electromagnetic battlespace. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to define, develop, and deliver next-generation land systems, from requirements to in-service support. You’ll engage with customers and partners to shape robust, integrated solutions across the full lifecycle. This position offers exposure to high-impact programmes like Land EW, C-UAS, and RC-IED disruption, within a flexible, growth‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop system solutions across the full lifecycle (requirements, design, integration, verification, and in-service support)
  • Lead or contribute to system of systems and prime integration efforts
  • Collaborate with safety, security, and reliability specialists to deliver robust outcomes
  • Engage with customers, partners and stakeholders to align on requirements and delivery
  • Contribute to advanced land-based capabilities including EW, C-UAS, and RC-IED solutions
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to shape and deliver next-generation defence systems

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in a working environment or advanced academic research
  • Science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in systems engineering activities (problem definition, architecture, MBSE, integration, verification & validation)
  • Collaborative work with safety, security, and reliability disciplines
  • Desirable: domain expertise in electronic warfare, C-UAS, SW defined radios, RF systems
  • Desirable: prime systems integration / system-of-systems experience
  • Desirable: defence, military, or security programme experience
  • Desirable: cyber and electromagnetic activities, including STICS/Open CPI
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Collaborative and cross‑functional teamwork
  • Strong communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Systems Engineering (MBSE, verification & validation)
  • RF systems and SW defined radios
  • Electronic warfare concepts
