Overview

As a Project and Report Coordinator in Stantec’s Prairies and Territories SIR team, you will support project managers to ensure efficient project delivery and high-quality client deliverables on contaminated sites programs across Western Canada and the Northwest Territories. You will help shape field instructions, coordinate data collection, and contribute to technical reporting and remediation planning. This role offers hands-on field and office exposure within a collaborative, safety-focused environment. You will work closely with a skilled environmental team to advance site investigation and remediation initiatives and help deliver impactful environmental solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and lead a strong health and safety culture on projects
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop field instructions and coordinate field scopes with staff and subcontractors
  • Coordinate field data collection for Phase I–III ESAs, ongoing environmental monitoring, and remediation activities
  • Maintain tracking tools for multiple site activities and deliverables
  • Write and peer review technical reports (Phase I–III ESAs, RAP, CAP, Reclamation Plans, RoSC, Ongoing Monitoring and RMP)

Key requirements

  • Safety-focused with adherence to established procedures and protocols
  • Experience executing soil, soil vapour, and groundwater investigations
  • Phase II ESA report writing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Experience with SIR databases and knowledge of OpenGround, EQUIS, FieldMaps and ArcGIS is advantageous
  • Practical knowledge of contaminated sites frameworks in AB, SK, MB, and/or NT
  • AER OneStop experience is an asset but not required
  • Familiarity with Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan is an asset
  • Able to obtain federal reliability security clearance
  • Adaptability, organization, critical thinking, self-motivation, willingness to learn, attention to detail, succinct writing, and multitasking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Education and Experience: minimum five years in Site Investigation and Remediation; preferably three years in field roles
  • Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset
  • This role may involve evening/weekend work
  • Office-based with potential travel to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwest Territories
