Responsibilities
- Carry out assessment, analysis, and design; prepare design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines
- Work with landscape architects, environmental specialists, and planners
- Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders; site visits
- Specify and analyse survey information to inform solutions
- Develop and appraise options; support engineering solutions and business cases
- Undertake sustainability reviews, carbon calculations, and related studies
- Prepare feasibility studies and technical reports
- Create digital solutions to manipulate and report on large datasets
- Use specialist software such as MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, Navisworks, Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, DHI, Infoworks, OrcaFlex, Python, LS-DYNA
Key requirements
- Partly completed Civil Engineering or relevant Engineering degree
- Enthusiasm for Civil Engineering and understanding of the sector
- Strong numerical skills; excellent verbal and written communication
- Good communicator able to work independently or in a team
- Drive for technical excellence with analytical mindset
