Overview
In this role you will advise on a range of clean energy construction matters within a leading national law firm. You will work closely with cross-office teams and a sector group to support energy projects, development, acquisitions, and disposals. You’ll handle high‑stakes contracts and warranties, shaping deals for battery storage, solar, wind, and other technologies. Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate BESS supply agreements with global manufacturers
- Negotiate and manage EPC contracts
- Handle O&M agreements and long-term service agreements (LTSAs)
- Draft and review component warranties
- Support clean energy project development, acquisitions and disposals
- Collaborate with sector team across real estate, corporate, finance, environment, planning, and dispute resolution
Key requirements
- Minimum ~4 years’ experience in construction, commercial, or project work, preferably in clean energy
- Strong transactional expertise in the field
- Experience with cross-office collaboration in the UK
- Knowledgeable in battery storage, solar PV, wind, hydroelectric, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and district heating (advantageous)
