Electrical Engineer – Water Sector

Overview

In this role you will support electrical and EICA design across water infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions. You’ll contribute from feasibility to construction, with mentorship to develop into a technical specialist or leader. You will work on significant UK water projects, gaining broad exposure across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical and EICA design from feasibility through detailed design and construction support
• Produce design calculations, drawings, schedules and technical specifications
• Support development of Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Network Infrastructure Diagrams
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and contractors to deliver coordinated solutions
• Participate in design reviews, site visits and technical workshops
• Continuously develop technical knowledge through structured learning and mentoring

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience
• Experience in electrical engineering design within water, utilities or infrastructure
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development
• Desirable: Experience with EICA design and documentation
• Desirable: Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and control philosophies
• Desirable: Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status
• Desirable: Experience within the UK water sector or regulated infrastructure
