Human Resources Manager

Overview

In this role you will act as the senior HR presence in Newcastle, partnering with Head Office and frontline teams to deliver strategic people initiatives. You will support senior leaders with people strategies, drive engagement and performance, and oversee day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and recruitment. You will lead a local HR team and collaborate with Operations and Marketing leadership to shape a positive employee experience. This is a chance to influence outcomes across diverse groups and contribute to the company’s people strategy in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategic business partnering with leaders across Head Office and contact centre functions
• Deliver and embed company-wide people initiatives aligning with business objectives
• Develop and coach managers to enhance people management capability
• Lead and support employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence matters
• Drive talent, engagement and retention initiatives and contribute to workforce and succession planning
• Analyse people metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform decisions

Key requirements

• CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
• Senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience in fast-paced environments
• Experience supporting both professional services/head office and frontline teams
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations practices
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and develop managers at all levels
• Experience managing people (team leadership)
