Resident Engineer

Overview

In this role you will be stationed at a customer site to diagnose and resolve technical issues on Linde forklifts and material handling equipment. You will lead preventative maintenance, keeping fleets operating at peak efficiency while building strong customer relationships. You’ll work autonomously within a team, contributing to service excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair technical issues on on-site equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and essential check-ups
• Service Linde forklifts and related material handling equipment at customer sites
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure excellent service
• Work autonomously within a team to support customer operations
• Contribute to safety and quality standards on site

Key requirements

• Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, with forklift-focused background preferred
• Full UK driving license
• Comfort with using IT hardware and software for record-keeping and orders
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
• Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners is desirable
