Overview

In this role you manage a varied dispute resolution caseload within a solicitorship or Chartered Legal Executive track in Yeovil. You’ll support a growing Litigation team in a flexible, hybrid setting and contribute to succession planning and client-focused growth. You drive outcomes across advisory and contentious matters, collaborating with colleagues to raise the department’s profile. Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad, varied caseload of dispute resolution matters
  • Handle ADR, building disputes, commercial repossession and rent arrears
  • Assist with consumer rights, contentions probate, contract disputes, judicial review, professional negligence, and TOLATA matters
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and communicate effectively
  • Support the growth and profile of the department and the local presence
  • Contribute to team succession planning and mentoring of junior colleagues (where applicable)
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver practical, solutions-focused outcomes

Key requirements

  • Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Strong technical knowledge across core litigation areas
  • Solid track record of managing own caseload
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
  • Confidence to work independently and collaboratively
  • Positive, solutions-focused approach
  • Full driving licence for occasional travel between offices
