Overview
In this Senior Cost Consultant role, you’ll lead cost management for large residential and mixed-use schemes in a growing multidisciplinary practice. You will work with private developer clients, shaping budgets from feasibility to final accounts and guiding procurement and contract strategy. The position sits within a cost consultancy team, collaborating with senior leaders to deliver high-value projects and adopt technology-driven processes. You’ll gain exposure to landmark regeneration schemes and MMC-focused delivery, contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise junior cost consultants
- Manage pre-contract and post-contract cost services
- Cost planning, cost control, estimates and procurement
- Negotiation and contract preparation
- Supply chain engagement and budget reconciliations
- Cost reporting and site valuations
- Client liaison and QA/compliance checks
- Champion technology use to enhance client service and efficiency
Key requirements
- 6+ years’ experience as a Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor from a Consultancy or Developer
- Experience in large-scale residential urban projects
- MRICS/MCIOB
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience serving private sector clients
- Experience in cost planning, cost control, reporting and procurement
- Interest or experience in MMC and sustainability advantageous
