Energy Manager

Overview

In this role you partner with OpenBlue customers to deliver measurable value across energy efficiency, asset uptime, and workplace experiences. You will guide customers through onboarding, adoption, and advocacy, acting as a trusted advisor and liaison with product and commercial teams. You’ll drive end-to-end delivery, monitor outcomes, and support growth by expanding value and references. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position suited to someone eager to operate in a fast-paced, startup-like environment inside a large company.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of customer value for OpenBlue solutions
• Customer onboarding including kick-off, deployment milestones, and user training
• Drive adoption through usage analytics, check-ins, and value discussion
• Advocacy by triaging issues, monitoring health, and conducting NPS surveys
• Participation in Customer Business Reviews with account managers
• Retention and growth by identifying new value opportunities and securing references

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field
• 5+ years in HVAC systems, building automation, energy management, facility management, or building maintenance services
• Hands-on OT deployment experience in medium to large facilities
• Experience delivering user training and product demonstrations
• Excellent written and verbal communication across operational and senior levels
• Strong enterprise customer relationship management
• Very organized project management skills; ability to lead in a matrix organization
• Experience driving process improvements to boost customer satisfaction
• Work authorization for the United Kingdom (Johnson Controls)
