Product Lead – Business Payments

Overview

In this role you will shape Wise’s Business Payments journey, enabling easy, scalable payments for accounts payable and payroll. You will lead multiple teams, driving adoption, reliability, and seamless reconciliation with accounting software. You’ll translate customer needs into a measurable strategy, coach PMs, and coordinate across functions to balance speed, risk and user experience. This is a high-impact role at Wise, designed for someone who wants to influence how businesses move money globally.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate long-term strategy for multiple teams in the payments workflow
• Set and own success metrics across setup, accuracy, timeliness, and reconciliation
• Shape UX at scale, keeping complexity manageable for SMBs and powerful for finance teams
• Make strategic bets using customer insight, data, and economics
• Lead and develop Product Managers and raise delivery quality
• Move between strategy and execution to unblock critical initiatives
• Foster cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, design, analytics, risk, compliance, finance, and commercial teams

Key requirements

• Strategic depth with track record of delivering long-term product strategy in a complex domain
• Product management excellence including customer discovery, UX, prioritisation and execution
• Experience in business payments, accounts payable, payroll, or adjacent B2B financial software
• Data-driven decision making using customer insight, economics, and technical judgement
• Hands-on leadership and ability to unblock work and align cross-functional teams
