Senior Manager Information Management – 3D CAD E3D

Overview

In this role you will lead 3D CAD coordination and E3D model management across multi-discipline projects, ensuring deliverables meet standards and align with contract requirements. You’ll oversee AVEVA E3D/PDS systems, drive global CAD coordination, and develop management plans while partnering with IT and discipline teams. The position focuses on enabling accurate 3D models, clash detection, and reliable 2D deliverables to support offshore oil & gas projects. You will lead process improvements, mentor teams, and contribute to project success in a safety- and reliability-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage AVEVA E3D 3D model globally (Users, DBs, MoM, DM, VPE, DRAW) and clash management
• Provide multi-discipline CAD coordination and user support
• Create and implement CAD management policies, plans, specifications and work instructions
• Demonstrate comprehensive PDMS/E3D knowledge including PDMS 12 modules
• Develop 3D model hierarchy and naming conventions to meet project requirements
• Coordinate regular CAD team meetings across offices
• Ensure deployment and proper use of E3D; develop 2D deliverables from E3D Draw
• Generate project 3D visuals and model reviews using Navisworks
• Support 3D model status reporting and model review coordination
• Develop CAD management procedures, training, and user support
• Incorporate supplier 3D models for space reservation and clash detection
• Produce project reviews and animations as needed
• Advance plans, specifications, procedures, and work processes for CAD management
• Provide application training and user support

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Oil & Gas/Engineering CAD management
• Knowledge/experience of Model Manager, Deliverable Manager, VPE, PARAGON/SPECON, Catalogue structures, AVEVA Net/Engage
• Relevant E3D CAD management experience on Offshore Oil & Gas projects
• PDMS/E3D expertise with Production/Administration Modules (ADMIN, DICE, LEXICON, DESIGN, DRAFT/DRAW, ISODRAFT, MDS, E3D)
• Global PDMS management and working methodologies
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Ability and willingness to travel
