Overview
In this role, you will maintain and repair automated equipment across a Derby site, including cranes, conveyors, and monorail systems in a cold environment. You will work in a customer-facing capacity, prioritising faults and ensuring output quality while following manufacturers’ recommendations. You’ll contribute to ongoing improvements and ensure compliance with safety standards. This position offers exposure to robotics-driven intralogistics within a global technology leader and a clear path to impact on site performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain reliable operations in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities
- Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on automated machinery (cranes, conveyors, monorail, deep freeze high bay).
- Work in a cold environment (-20°C) and undertake scheduled repairs per manufacturer and industry standards.
- Prioritise system faults and ensure quality output at all times.
- Accurately record all maintenance work in the CMMS.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and uphold Health & Safety compliance.
Key requirements
- Apprentice trained Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification
- Experience with automated machinery is advantageous; training provided
