Manufacturing Supervisor – Nights

Overview

As Nights Meals Supervisor, you lead the production line in the meals department to meet quality, safety, and production targets. You’ll motivate and develop your team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate across Production, Quality, Engineering and NPD. You uphold high food safety standards and encourage a culture of teamwork and accountability. This role offers development in a market-leading food manufacturer with a meaningful impact on customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver right-first-time products while meeting quality, productivity and plan targets
• Reduce waste through effective monitoring, control and training
• Ensure all production, quality and SAP documentation is completed on time
• Drive continuous improvement and implement corrective actions
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and compliance with BRC requirements
• Champion health & safety and participate in audits
• Support 5S, allergen control and clean-as-you-go culture
• Provide training, coaching and return-to-work discussions to team members
• Manage labour resources to meet performance targets
• Promote clear communication, teamwork and policy adherence
• Support new product trials, improvement projects and environmental initiatives
• Complete training and contribute to departmental process development
• Cover Shift Managers’ role during absences

Key requirements

• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a team with shared goals
• Can-do attitude
• Willingness to learn and make quick, reasoned decisions
• Basic computer familiarity; SAP and Excel training provided
• Comfort with numbers for line performance and inputs
• Desirable: prior team leadership experience; understanding of production line operation; labour planning
