Senior Accountant / Accounts Senior (Accountancy Practice)

Overview

As an Accountant at Additional Resources Ltd, you will prepare and review company accounts for a varied client base while acting as a trusted advisor to business owners. You’ll engage directly with clients, helping them grow through commercial tax and business guidance, including support for acquisitions. The role centers on delivering proactive, consultative advice to owner-managed businesses, with a focus on impactful, relationship-driven service. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape clients’ financial success within a collaborative, client-focused firm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review company accounts for a varied portfolio
• Collaborate with owner-managed/owner-led businesses
• Attend face-to-face client meetings as a trusted advisor
• Advise on wider business and commercial tax issues
• Support clients with growth, expansion, and acquisitions
• Build long-term client relationships through a consultative approach
• Provide guidance on general tax and business matters (e.g., Inheritance Tax, Corporation Tax)

Key requirements

• Experience in an accountancy practice
• CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to build trusted, consultative relationships
• Proactive and commercially minded with confidence in client meetings
• Experience advising owner-managed/owner-led businesses (preferred)
