Specialty Finance Senior Associate

Overview

In this role, you will help build and optimize credit-focused portfolios within the Specialty Finance & Fintech team. You will work with cross-functional partners to model cash flows, underwrite loans, and analyze securitization structures, leveraging private fintech deal flow and venture capital exposure. You will communicate fund strategies to investors and contribute to a data-driven, high-performing investment process. Responsibilities

• Develop cash flow credit models for consumer, small business, and hard asset segments
• Underwrite and execute whole loans and credit facilities
• Build comprehensive financial models and evaluate deal structures
• Prepare investor presentations and communicate portfolio strategies
• Support due diligence of loan originators (private fintechs)
• Price and model securitizations in Intex or internal tools (Python/Excel)

Key requirements

• Quantitative degree preferred in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, or related field
• 3–7 years of tier 1 buy-side/sell-side experience in relevant areas
• Extensive trading experience using Intex
• Excellent Excel/VBA, database and programming skills a plus
• Experience in securitization markets and asset-based lending
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail orientation, and self-motivation
