Overview

In this role you will contribute to Sustainable Fitch’s ESG-focused credit analysis, applying methodologies to assess sustainability impacts on entities and debt instruments. You will deliver high-quality written research and monitor a portfolio of companies, collaborating with global colleagues to stay ahead of sustainability trends. Your work supports the integration of ESG considerations into credit ratings and investor insights. Responsibilities

  • Apply Sustainable Fitch analytical methodologies to assess sustainability impact across a range of activities
  • Produce timely, focused written analysis on sustainability characteristics of entities and debt issuances
  • Support arguments with verified data and robust rationale
  • Monitor a portfolio of companies and stay updated on global sustainability trends
  • Collaborate with colleagues to leverage knowledge and build international networks

Key requirements

  • Degree related to environmental science, social risk, governance, or economics/finance
  • 1–3 years in sustainability with knowledge of market themes and international taxonomies
  • Basic financial literacy and ability to work with data
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, and critical thinking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation
  • Self-starter with good time management
  • Full professional proficiency in English; additional European language preferred
