Overview
In this role, you will help ER&I clients design and deliver innovative operating models and transformation programs. You will lead cross‑client thinking, coordinate Deloitte and client teams, and shape business cases that unlock sustainable value. You’ll apply analysis and new technologies to guide strategy, drive efficiency, and realise strategic intent. This position offers working across energy, utilities, and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on net-zero and Industry 4.0 themes within a supportive, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities
- Lead client thinking to identify innovative ways of operating and improve the existing operating model
- Manage Deloitte and client teams to design and deliver fit-for-purpose operating models
- Develop business cases and deliver sustainable cost savings with senior clients
- Apply methodical research to analyse large qualitative/quantitative data and shape recommendations
- Evaluate emerging technologies to inform strategy, roadmaps, and transformation
- Assess processes to quantify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Lead teams, workstreams, and engagements to deliver on time and budget
- Conduct strategic/operational reviews across organisations or functions
- Organise insights to tell a clear story when presenting recommendations
Key requirements
- Proven deep industry knowledge in Energy & Utilities, Renewables, Mining & Metals, Industrial Products & Construction (incl. Real Estate)
- Experience leading transformation workstreams or programmes delivering energy transition, infrastructure deployment, supply chain transformation, decarbonisation, or regulatory compliance
- Experience managing teams and engagements with on-time, on-budget delivery and initial scoping/ Commercial elements
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders to align on outcomes
- People management experience and talent development within teams
- Operational experience in at least one ERI organisation (employee or consultant)
- Previous consulting experience (independent or in-house)
- Desirable: AI/automation experience; Lean Six-Sigma; MBA or equivalent qualification
