Overview
In this role, you drive client development and targeted marketing initiatives for the practice groups, partnering with group leaders to build trusted relationships and pursue strategic opportunities. You will lead the submission process for awards and directories, and manage sponsorships that align with client goals and deliver ROI. You’ll craft data-driven campaigns, pitches, and RFP responses, while shaping client-facing materials and event programs. You’ll work across BD, marketing, and knowledge teams to scale impact, adopt AI-assisted workflows, and continuously improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain client development relationships with group leads and stakeholders
- Strategize and oversee submissions for awards/directories (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500)
- Identify and execute sponsorship opportunities with measurable ROI
- Conduct research and analysis to inform group strategy and new business ideas
- Collaborate on client-facing pitch strategies and prepare necessary research
- Draft pitches, RFP responses, and client presentations, often with the proposals team
- Track pitch activity and disseminate best practices across the team
- Develop data-driven, integrated marketing campaigns aligned to strategic priorities
- Create and maintain practice-specific collateral and support knowledge management
- Plan and host practice-related events with ROI focus and partner engagement
- Drive adoption of BD tools and maintain accurate CRM and databases
- Support the Client Team Program, including governance materials and framework development
- Develop client team tools, templates, agendas, and reporting formats
- Analyze financial/trend data to inform planning and performance evaluation
- Coordinate training for key accounts and seek process efficiencies across internal teams
- Regularly review the key account management framework and toolkit
Key requirements
- Litigation experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
- 6+ years in client development or marketing, preferably in legal or professional services
- Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Data-driven with ROI-focused mindset and ability to leverage insights
- Experience building client development frameworks, tools, or programs
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with partners and cross-functional teams
- Professional with ability to handle confidential information
