Mechanical Engineer, Mission Critical

In this role you contribute to data center design within Stantec’s Buildings team, delivering technically sound solutions under supervision and guiding designers. Responsibilities

• Develop basic system designs within own discipline under supervision
• Delegate tasks to project designers as appropriate
• Prepare project deliverables aligned with client scope
• Coordinate with disciplines to integrate work and client requests
• Follow quality management; review deliverables before QA/AC
• Assist with shop drawings, RFI responses, site observation reports, punch lists, and coordination meetings
• Participate in professional community activities for knowledge growth
• Assist Project Engineer on project tasks
• Meet or exceed utilization goals and adhere to budget

Key requirements

• Knowledge of engineering practices within own discipline
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360; hydraulic modeling (Pipe-Flo) and CFD (Fluent, 6Sigma) preferred

• Strong communication to coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams
• Good organizational and time-management abilities
