Personal Injury (Work and Public Place Injury) – Solicitor

Overview

In this role you will join the WPPI team to secure the best outcomes for clients with workplace or public place injuries. You will handle a mix of pre-litigation and litigated files from instruction to resolution, collaborating with solicitors and paralegals. The role involves advising clients, drafting documents, and mentoring juniors while working to deliver compassionate, effective legal representation. Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of pre-litigation and litigated personal injury matters from enquiry to resolution
• Assess case viability and conduct initial consultations
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
• Draft legal documents and perform legal research
• Advise clients on processes and likely outcomes
• Mentor and support junior team members

Key requirements

• Qualified Scottish Solicitor – NQ to 5 years PQE
• Experience in Sheriff Courts and All-Scotland Personal Injury Court
• Strong advocacy skills
• Excellent knowledge of court procedures and case management
• Compassionate, empathetic, client-focused approach
• Confident working independently with appropriate supervision
• Strong team player with good time management and attention to detail
