Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead electrical design work for buildings within the Places Design Practice, delivering efficient, integrated electrical solutions for diverse clients. You will collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team to meet budgets and timelines while upholding quality standards. The role emphasizes applying analytical and technical writing skills to resolve design challenges and support client needs. Responsibilities

• Work on technical aspects of small projects or components of larger ones, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality objectives are met
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary Arcadians team to integrate overall design
• Prepare accurate drawings, specifications, reports and project documentation
• Contribute to resolving technical issues at project level under supervision of a Senior Engineer

Key requirements

• BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Previous relevant experience designing electrical systems within buildings
• Understanding of how design elements interface with the client
