Overview
In this role you will support the Risk Control function with a primary focus on Market Risk. You will help monitor, analyse, and report risk exposures while ensuring actions stay within Risk Appetite. You will contribute to stress testing, ALM knowledge, and reporting to senior stakeholders. The position offers exposure to cross‑functional risk topics and enables impact through data‑driven insights in a regulated financial setting.

Responsibilities
- Market Risk monitoring and analysis on a regular basis
- Oversee interest rate risk, structural balance sheet risk, and liquidity risk
- Analyze changes in Market Risk exposures and identify drivers
- Produce and maintain Market Risk reporting and management information
- Monitor adherence to Market Risk Appetite limits
- Assist with stress testing, scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Develop knowledge of Asset and Liability Management (ALM), IRRBB, and liquidity risk
- Support independent second-line monitoring, analysis, and reporting across Risk Control
- Track Risk Appetite metrics, limits, and key risk indicators; monitor portfolio performance
- Investigate material movements, emerging risks, and potential breaches; escalate as needed
- Create clear, accurate, and timely risk reporting and management information
- Support independent challenge of risk information, assumptions, and activities
- Contribute to risk framework, policies, procedures, and controls
- Assist with Model Risk activities including model performance monitoring and reviews
- Support EWRM activities including stress testing and BAU forecasting through data work, analysis, and reporting
- Undertake regular/ad-hoc analysis to identify trends and inform decisions
- Develop and enhance analytical dashboards/tools using Excel, Power BI, and related tools to improve automation and accuracy

- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workloads
- Degree (or equivalent) in a numerate/analytical discipline or relevant experience in Risk/Finance/Data/MI
