Overview
Independent-minded roles are available to host a young person in a safe, supportive home. You help with life skills, budgeting and tenancy basics while promoting education and wellbeing. You’ll work alongside staff and professionals to enable a young person’s progression toward independence, with training and ongoing support. This is a meaningful role where a stable, caring home can make a lasting difference.

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, welcoming home environment
- Help young people develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting and managing a tenancy
- Encourage education, employment and training opportunities
- Promote wellbeing, confidence and independence
- Work with Supported Lodgings staff and other professionals
- Report any concerns relating to a young person’s welfare
Key requirements
- Be aged 21 or over and able to work in the UK
- Have a spare bedroom
- Be supportive, patient and non-judgemental
- Have good communication skills
- Be willing to undertake training and ongoing development
- No formal qualifications required
