Overview
As a Junior Process Engineer at Framatome in Cranfield, you will work on fluid flow systems with a focus on mixing processes across nuclear and non-nuclear settings. You’ll join the Process Engineering team to deliver high-quality engineering output and support research, design, and consultancy projects safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, data analysis, and development of test programmes to drive process performance improvements. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers in mechanical and process design, simulations, and test rig operation
- Develop experimental test programmes and define key objectives
- Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze results and interpret data
- Specify materials and equipment for testing
- Present results and analyses to peers and external clients
- Perform design and operation calculations for fluid systems
- Produce technical documentation and reports
- Support project budgets, deadlines, and proposal development
- Contribute to quality and health and safety process improvements
Key requirements
- Masters or PhD in Process engineering or related discipline
- Industry experience or relevant postgraduate position highly desirable
- Advanced knowledge of single and multiphase fluid mechanics, including mixing
- Familiarity with lab testing, data acquisition, programming, image/video analysis, and CFD is desirable
- Strong analytical abilities with statistical data interpretation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
